The Canberra Rex Hotel is a Hotel with a long tradition where many National as well as international celebrities, famous athletes and guests enjoyed their stay. The location of our Hotel offers our guests the comfort of reaching the Canberra city centre within walking distance. In the case your business is in one of the main corporate or government districts such as Belconnen or Woden they are conveniently only a short drive away. Our Hotel offers 157 rooms, and you can choose between Deluxe King Bed, Deluxe Twin, Family or Executive Suites rooms. All rooms are recently refurbished, and feature wireless internet(additional cost),individual temperature controlled airconditioning, and free in-house movies. Possibly you may decide to try some of the delicious meals from our room service or restaurant. Or how about a workout in the fitness centre or indoor heated swimming pool and then relax your body in the sauna? Of course, we provide our guests with free off street parking. Currently Canberra Rex Hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and refurbishment of all the rooms part by part. Essentially, this has no effect on our guests stay. Next year a new 4.5 star hotel will be constructed and Rex Hotel will become a part of a one of the most luxurious accommodation facilities in Canberra, with the a total 311 suites, new restaurants, brasserie and two bars. The best is yet to come... Thank you for being a part of this journey! We advice our guests that Canberra Rex Hotel is a non smoking property. Cleaning fee may be charged on guests account in the case this policy is disregarded. Located on corner of Northbourne Avenue and Ipima Street, the Canberra Rex is 3 blocks from the city centre or about 1km. Arriving by air? From the airport a taxi will cost around $17.00. Arriving by bus? All interstate bus lines arrive at the Jolimont Tourist Centre in the city. A taxi will cost you around $6 one way. Access to Canberra Stadium; * 15-20 min drive * public bus services available for Brumbies and Raiders games |
