Situated on a leafy residential street, Barbara’s Guesthouse offers comfortable, classy accommodation just a stone’s throw from the beaches and main streets of Byron Bay.

We cater for budget to mid-range accommodation requests, from a self-contained studio through to queen ensuite rooms. All rooms have access to the indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, BBQ and organic herb garden.

An optional self-serve cereal and toast breakfast is available to our guests. Teas, coffee, sugar and milk are complimentary throughout your stay.

Alongside free Wi-Fi, we offer a mini library service and plenty of leaflets on local attractions so that you can make the best use of your time in the area. The owner will happily help you with further information, if required.

Laundry facilities are available at an additional cost.

As the sun shines for much of the year here in Byron Bay, catering for outdoor living is a must. At Barbara’s we have created a comfortable communal area for those moments when you want to be away from the bustle and catch your breath.

Enjoy breakfast or dine alfresco at the large communal dining table on the veranda. Whilst many of our guests appreciate sharing drinks and chatter with other travellers, there may be moments where you want some solo time. Curl up with a book on the shaded comforts of a cushioned Balinese day bed, take a minute to daydream as you sway in the swing chair, or loll on a sun lounger in amongst the tropical delights of a beautifully kept garden.

After a day on the beach, in the town or hiking the coastline, reinvigorate in the outdoor bamboo shower before firing up the BBQ and cooking up a storm, seasoned with healthy organic herbs fresh from the garden.

Recently redecorated to a high standard and under new ownership, we believe that you will find Barbara’s Guesthouse a perfect base for your holiday in Northern New South Wales.

While relatively balmy all year around, Byron Bay becomes nothing less than a tourist idyll in the summer months. Holidaymakers include couples looking for a romantic getaway, groups of friends looking for fun and adventure, those looking to rejuvenate the spirit, and families looking for a location that will please everyone.

Nature lovers will get their fix of all things sun and sand and can take their pick from natural delights including pristine beaches lapped by rolling waves, the arcing tails of huge whales, the lush and fragrant local flora, and the binocular-worthy native fauna. Sporty types will pass their days surfing, swimming, diving, and cycling, while arts and culture lovers will find themselves thumbing through thick lists outlining the array of festivals, events, retreats, and exhibitions that occur in Byron Bay throughout the year.
