Located a short drive from the Taupo township in a quiet tree-lined residential suburb within an easy walk to the lake without the need to cross the main road. Rainbow Point Motel offers: Twelve cottage style ground level units. All units are tastefully decorated and are self catering. We offer both cooked and continental breakfasts. There is a restaurant adjacent to the complex. The complex also has a BBQ available, guest laundry, and a five person Spa Pool which is housed in a private pagoda available for hire. There is a licenced lounge/bar with open fire in the winter and we are a short distance to the Taupo Airport. Each unit has a carpark and there is also additional parking available within the complex. Rainbow Point Motel is close the the two boat ramps onto Lake Taupo and a short walk to the lake's edge. |

| Getting There |
Car - We are located on the southern end of Taupo town centre close to the Taupo Airport. The motel is located on the corner of State Highway 1 and Rainbow Drive. The motel complex is adjacent to the Rainbow Point Store and Ploughmans Restaurant. We offer complimentary pickup from the Bus Depot and Airport by prior arrangement. |

A carpark is available in front of each unit within the complex and additional parking for extra cars, boats and trailers. Car parking is free. |

45 minute walk to town centre along the famous "Lions Walk" located on the edge of Lake Taupo. Lake front 2 minutes walk. Taupo has a host of attactions which include: Fly Fishing, Lake Fishing, Centennial Park Racetrack, Golf Courses, Event Centre, Huka Falls, Volanic Activity Centre, Sky Diving, Bungy Jumping, Horse Riding, White Water rafting, Scenic Flights, Rafting and Kayaking, Mountain Climbing, Natural Walk ways, Thermal Valleys, Tongariro National Park and Skiing (Winter), Volcanic Loop, Cafes and Restaurants. |
