It is managed by its owners and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Each of the 23 guestrooms has a bathroom, television, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities, electronic safe,ironing facilities and all of them also have Wi-Fi. From the Airport by Bus Bus Numbers 41A, 41B, 41C, 746, 16A All buses from the Airport pass along the same route. The stop for Egans is on Drumcondra road, just before the Guinness Railway Bridge overhead. Directly across from this stop is St. Alphonsus Road;turn right at the second roundabout and you will be on Iona Park and Egans is on your left. From the Airport by Car Follow directions for the City Centre. After about 5 miles prepare to turn right after Fagan's pub and before the Railway bridge (overhead). After turning right you should be in Hollybank Road. Go all the way to the end and then take a left into Iona Park. Egans House will be to your right. From the City Centre by Bus Bus Numbers 13, 19, 19A, 83, 16A. From O'Connell Street, going to the north of the city, take the above buses to Prospect Way. From the bus stop cross over to the traffic island and turn left onto Iona Road (opposite the Botanic House Pub).The 1st turn left will take you onto Iona Park and Egans. From the City Centre by Car Continue to the end of O'Connell St. in a northerly direction i.e. going in airport direction. Follow the traffic around the bottom of Parnell Square and continue straight up turning right at the second junction onto Dorset Street. Take the first turn left after the 7th set of traffic lights, (St Alphonsus Road, just after you go under the railway bridge).At the second roundabout turn right and Egans is on your right. From the Ferry Port by Car Follow the signs for the Airport. On Drumcondra Road take the first left after going under the Railway Bridge, then turn right at the second roundabout. |

TRINITY COLLEGE : Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is the oldest university in Ireland and has long been at the heart of Dublin's history as well as a prestigious educational institution for almost 10,000 students. GO... GUINNESS BREWERY: The Guinness brewery, synonymous with its location at St James's Gate, has been in operation since 1759 when Arthur Guinness began to brew his excellent porter here. GO... ST PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL: Ireland's largest church, St Patrick's Cathedral stands on what is probably the oldest Christian site in Ireland. A wooden church was built here in the fifth century after Ireland's patron saint, St Patrick, baptised his first Christian converts at a well on the site. GO... CHRISTCHURCH CATHEDRAL: Work on the present building at Christchurch began in 1169 under the direction of the Norman knight, Strongbow. Today, little remains visible of the 12th century building over ground, bar the transepts, part of the choir and the north wall, thanks to its turbulent history. GO... DUBLIN CASTLE: Dublin Castle has played a pivotal role in Irish history and government since the Vikings established a hill fort on the site in the 9th century. KILMAINHAM JAIL: Since 1795, Kilmainham Jail has provided the memorable backdrop for some of the most significant moments in Irish history and, in particular the struggle for Independence. GO... DVBLINIA: Located beside Christ Church Cathedral, Dvblinia is a multi-media presentation of Dublin's medieval heritage.
