| Getting There |
By car - Thredbo is approximately 550kms from Sydney or Melbourne, mostly via freeway & highway. By law in winter all 2 wheel vehicles are required to carry chains from Jindabyne (travelling from Sydney) or Khancoban (travelling from Melbourne). Although not usually required to be fitted, chains can be hired from most service stations in Jindabyne and Khancoban. If travelling from Sydney, as you approach Thredbo do not take the first turn to the right into Thredbo village, continue to the second turn further along the Apline Way into Banjo Drive. If you travelling from Melbourne this is the first turning into the village. As you proceed down Banjo Drive turn sharp left at the first intersection which takes you into Diggings Terrace. The Denman is located at the bottom of the hill on the left opposite the village steps. By Coach - Daily services provided by Greyhound link Thredbo to most major centres. By air Rex has daily services from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains airport (Cooma), an hour & a half from Thredbo. Snowy Express Airport Shuttle links all flights with services to Thredbo ($49 one way). Qantas & Virgin Blue services Canberra from Sydney & Melbourne. Regular coaches services are available from the airport or alternately major car hire companies are airport. |
| Parking |
Limited and based on availability. Thredbo has overnight complimentary car parking for guests, serviced by a frequent village shuttle bus in winter. In summer it is a pleasant stroll from the hotel. Please advise if assistance is required. Valet parking is also availablel. |

Australia's premier winter resort has all the snow sports on offer - day & night downhill skiing & boarding with terrain parks for added fun, cross country guided ski & snow shoeing tours, heritage walks and much more. Thredbo is reknowned for its nightlife with a wide selection of restaurants, great bars and live entertainment. The Denman is the perfect location for all Thredbo has to offer. In summer there is plenty of fun for both the active adventurist and those just wanting a quiet break - a 9 hole AGU rated golf course, tennis courts, abseiling, rock climbing, fly fishing, white water rafting, kids bobsled, downhill mountain bike riding, a myriad of bushwalking for all levels, alpine wildlife discovery tours, guided back country adventure, horseriding in the lower valley & guided sunrise & sunset walks to the top of Mt Kosciuszko. You can also take in some shopping in the village, have a facial or therapeutic massage at The Denman or visit the multi million dollar sports complex for a swim in the heated Olympic pool & spa. Thredbo summer events not to be missed are the Blues weekend in January, the Jazz Festival in May, Xmas & Easter festivities, the Snowy Ride weekend for biking enthusiasts in November & of course The Denman's New Years Eve gala night. |
