Cedar Park Rainforest Resort is situated in one of the world's greatest ecologically diverse areas One of the best location within a short distance of Cairns. This rainforest nature and wildlife retreat is located half way between the famous rainforest village Kuranda and Mareeba. We are surrounded by ancient forest and its endlessly fascinating and amazing rainforest and wildlife. You can see vast amounts of wildlife and several species of rare endemic birds, animals and botanical treasures. If you want to experience the splendorous of nature at its best while relaxing comfortably in a very unique environment you will love to be with us here. One of our main attractions is bird watching; and you surely don't want to miss a thing. We have over 107 species recorded (and are still counting). There are over two hundred and fifty species in the region. Enjoy exiting birding and tropical rainforest bush walks, a swim in the cool, refreshing mountain streams and pools. Relax in the rainforest spa or have a drink at the lagoon. Experience interesting accommodation that is not found anywhere else and enjoy wonderful cooking in our al fresco restaurant overlooking the rainforest. It takes approx 45min from Cairns to reach the Resort. Directions - From Cairns take the scenic drive up to Kuranda. - From Kuranda follow the Kennedy Highway 12 km towards Mareeba . - Turn left at the Cedar Park Resort sign ( Clohsey River Road ). Enjoy the 6 km drive trough the bush until you reach the Wet Tropic Word Heritage Rainforest ( 10 Min. ) Cedar Park is an ideal location for Naturebased activities like Birdwatching and Bushwalking, and is a gateway to explore the Cairns Highlands with it's numerous attractions. We also have a little Goldmine where you can push your luck. Our enchanting gothic resort is ideal for a intimidate wedding or a honeymoon. Surrounded by the rainforest and crystal clear creek it’s the place for a romantic getaway. PLEASE NOTE: We are located 12 kms outside of the town of Kuranda. Please refer to our Getting There section, and look out for the unique rainforest resort on the edge of the Ganyan Creek. |

From Cairns follow the Highway north to Smithfield and take the turn off to Kuranda. The road to Kuranda is a scenic drive up the mountain. Continue the Highway past Kuranda towards Mareeba until the turn off left at Clohesy River Road (a large sign directs to Cedar Park). and follow the signs (6km) |
