| Getting There |
Byron Bay The most easterly point in Australia. Enjoys a subtropical climate which attracts a variety of people from all over the world. Only 40 minutes drive south of the Gold Coast and airport. Two and a half hours drive south of Brisbane. Byron Bay is the perfect place for a holiday. Long summer days make it perfect to relax after a long day at the beach around one of the free barbeques on all Byron’s beaches. Byron has a great walking track from Captain Cook Lookout to the Lighthouse around the headland to Wategos beach over to the ‘Pass’ back along Clarkes and Main Beach back to town. All Byron’s beaches have showers to rinse off. Byron Bay has a monthly market on the first Sunday of the month. Byron is a vibrant centre with cafe’s and restaurants with foods from all over the world. Entertainment is always on at one of Byron’s Hotels. |

| Things To Do |
Holiday Summer days are long. The ocean stays warm all year round. Julians a perfect place to escape the crowds while staying at a prime address. Airport transfers are available but arrangements must be made in advance. Plenty to do from snorkelling, skin diving, fishing and surfing (schools for beginners and kids), hang gliding (tandem), walking, sight seeing, sea kayaking, guided tours of the surrounding area or self-drive. Push bike around town. Holiday hire surfboards, push bikes and beach gear is available in town. Information at the office. Surfing Byron must be the most surfed place on the east coast. Julians is only a short walk to the famous ‘Pass’ which works on any swell and a southerly wind direction. Walk to the ‘Pass’ surf all the way to Clarkes beach, then walk 100 meters back to Julians. When the Northerly wind blows its only 1.2 km to Tallow Beach which is on the open beach side. Wategos Beach, the Cape and Little Wategos, the Belongil Beach are only a short drive from Julians. The Wreck is right on the Main Beach carpark. Broken Head and back beaches are 10 minutes south of Byron while Lennox head is half hour drive south. |
