The hotel was named after the superb views that hotel guests have of Maó harbour. In addition to its prime location in front of Maó harbour, the hotel is also quite near Menorca's historic and shopping centre. This modern hotel, built in 1991 and partially renovated in 2001, has 69 rooms distributed on 5 floors. Every room has air conditioning and a minibar, and all of them are fitted with heating, a direct telephone line, cableTV, room service and a complete bathroom with a hair dryer. The CATALONIA MIRADOR DES PORT hotel also has a restaurant, rooms with TV, a coffee bar with a terrace (offering a panoramic view of the Maó harbour), fitness & jacuzzi and a fantastic garden with a swimming pool where you will be able to relax and have fun. |

Maó Harbour is one of the most important "natural" harbours of the world. It is known as the second largest natural harbour in the world after Pearl Harbour (Hawaii). Not far from it and according to the legend, Admiral Nelson once had a romance with Lady Hamilton in their San Antonio property when they both lived on the island. You can take a one-hour catamaran excursion and view the harbour while hearing about its history. You can also visit the gin distillery. In the afternoon you can go to the Ateneo Científico y Literario, host to an important collection of fossils, historic maps and ceramics. |
