Worawia Resort Mele has recently reopened following an extended closure during which refurbishment and upgrading were undertaken. Come and experience the difference with the affordable rates that are now on offer. The new look changes will soon be available in our photo gallery. Worawia Resort Mele is a small family holiday resort, situated near the beach and next door to Port Vila Golf and Country Club. It is one of the very few Ni-Vanuatu (traditionally) inspired and built accommodation lodges, operated to international standards. We are a 3-star resort, member of Vanuatu Hotels & Resorts Association (VHRA) and South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO). At Worawia, we prefer to have a small, intimate resort where the waits are a little shorter, the service is a bit more personal, and the chance of being treated like family (rather than customers) is a little more likely. Location - Worawia is located on Vanuatu’s main island of Efate, just outside of Port Vila, no more than a couple of minutes walk to the beach and nearby Hideaway Island which offers world class snorkelling and diving for all levels / no experience required. There are a number of popular tourist attractions and activities available nearby, such as diving, snorkelling, horse-riding, golf, Botanical Gardens, Cascades Waterfall, etc. We provide free airport transfers to our guests, so upon your arrival at the Bauerfield International Airport, the Worawia Courtesy Bus will be waiting to deliver you to the resort which is only 10 minutes away. Port Vila Golf and Country Club offers an 18 hole PRO-AM course and is located next door. We are happy to assist our guests with all tour & activity requirements. Accommodation In keeping with our small, intimate philosophy, we have only one large 3-bedroom family bungalow, three regular bungalows and a deluxe dormitory-styled accommodation. This allows us a maximum of 16 guests in bungalows and 16 guests in dormitory at any one time. The Family Bungalow has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining/sitting room, and a traditionally styled verandah with deck chairs. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other two have double-decker single bunk beds. The bungalow can sleep up to six people. All bedrooms have wardrobes for hanging your clothing. The three Regular Bungalows are designed for up to four people, although one will generally be set aside for double share (two people) only - sometime used by honeymooners. The Bungalows are open planned with double bed, a bathroom, a kitchenette/dining/sitting room and a verandah. Two of the bungalows are ideal for families of up to 4 persons, as they have a double bed and a double-decker bunks can be provided on request. These bungalows have been recently refurbished including new bathrooms. All bungalows, or Fares (Faahr-rays) as they are known locally, are self-contained which allows guests the freedom to choose either a home-away-from-home (self-catered) holiday or a complete laid-back holiday - with light breakfast including fresh bread, island fruits, juice, tea or coffee is provided by your hosts. Lunch and dinner can also be provided on request. The deluxe dormitory-styled accommodation has 4 rooms each with double-decker bunk beds, writing desk, vanity unit and a 4-way partitioned, separately lockable wardrobe. Also included two well-appointed bathrooms, a combined kitchen-dining area and sundeck. Worawia now offers a BBQ fare adjacent to the pool, set in luscious tropical gardens. We can provide a BBQ pack or provide a meal for our guests. Or, you can enjoy a drink at the recently refurbished swim-up pool bar. |

Worawia check in time is whenever guest(s) arrive. Most of the flights are during the day, but there are also late night flights. We allow late night check ins, even after midnight. Full-night rate applies even when checked in after midnight. |

| Getting There |
Worawia Resort Mele is located on Vanuatu's main island of Efate. It is situated on Fr. Dr. Lini (old Kumul) Highway, just outside Port Vila, next door to Port Vila Golf & Country Club. The beach is just a short stroll away, with many of popular tourist and sightseeing attractions located nearby. We provide free airport transfers to our guests, so upon your arrival at Bauerfield International Airport, our courtesy bus will be waiting to deliver you to the resort, which is only 10 minutes away. Please advise your flight number & arrival time in the booking comments if requiring airport transfers. Taxis are also available at the airport. |

| Things To Do |
Activities Vanuatu offers duty free shopping, uncrowded tropical beaches, waterfalls, and deep sea fishing - all served with a mix of South Pacific culture and hospitality. Located in and around Worawia and Port Vila are white and grey volcanic sand beaches which are both uncrowded and unspoiled. The romantic Cascades Waterfall is also in the neighbourhood offering photographic opportunities or a relaxing dip in the Vanuatu flavoured water which is always clean and fresh. It’s a popular whole-day outting for families and bushwalkers. Port Vila (approximately 10 minutes drive away) offers access to the many boat charter services and deep sea fishing trips. Public mini buses run daily past our resort, including on weekends. Dive into some of the most beautiful coral reefs on the planet and see exotic sealife. Many different tours are available, including day and night cruises - just peruse the brochures available at our tour desk, or ask our reception staff. If you want to visit other Vanuatu islands, our staff will be happy to help you organize that. The nearby island of Santo, Vanuatu’s largest, is popular with scuba divers, where you will find World War II relics such as downed aircraft and sunken battleships - the USS "The President Coolidge" being one of the best known. To really get into the local culture, you can arrange to view a land dive on south Pentecost Island. This only happens in April and May and access is strictly limited so you must plan at least a couple of months ahead. Worawia is open all year round and caters to families, couples, or single travelers, as well as various group bookings. Our regular guests keep coming back to visit us year after, including families, divers, golfers, birdwatchers, church groups, sporting clubs, as well as individual business people who visit Vanuatu often and need a clean, convenient and reasonably priced accommodation, in close proximity of both the airport and Port Vila, as well as near the beach and many other holiday attractions.
