Romantic candle lit dinners in our dining room or a picnic hamper can be arranged with prior notice. We're located a leisurely 90 minutes drive east from Melbourne and within ten minutes of the regional township of Warragul and Yarragon. Wineries - Indeed... West Gippsland offers fantastic wineries some offering sensational food, all with great views and most within a 20 minute drive of Springbank. Springbank will in the warmer months have a range of produce including Italian style pizzas, fish and beef available to a minimum of 6 guests cooked to perfection in our authentic outdoor clay oven by arrangement with sufficient prior notice. This would be a perfect scenario for two (or three) couples staying in the house and or cottage. We'd be delighted by your company. |

| Getting There |
Driving - From Melbourne Travel east along Highway M1 (Princes Highway) towards Warragul - approximately 100 kilometres from Melbourne. The M1 will take you along the Monash Freeway then the Pakenham Bypass. Just keep going. There are NO traffic lights to contend with on your journey.A landmark is GUMBUYA PARK Tynong North (35 minutes to our gate). The next sign will say Drouin/Mt Baw Baw/Neerim Sth, the next Warragul / Lardner Park, and the next Warragul / Korumburra. Please exit at the Nilma turnoff which is 3.7 kilometres past the Warragul / Korumburra exit from the Freeway. Following the exit road around to the left and then turning right into Bloomfield Road (To Mt.Baw Baw & Neerim South). Travel approximately 1.7 kilometres and turn right onto Nilma-Shady Creek Road. Follow Nilma-Shady Creek road for approx. 3.3 kilometres then turn right into Williamsons road (No through road). Continue straight along for 650 metres - we are the first driveway on the right hand side - 80 metres past Tripp-Mcdonald road which branches off to your left."Springbank" is approx. 5.7 kilometres from the highway turnoff to our driveway. Springbank is signposted at both the Bloomfield/Nilma Shady Creek Road and Williamsons Road/Nilma Shady Creek Road. By Train - Melbourne to Warragul line (approx. 1 hour) then either a ten minute taxi ride to us or call us prior and we'll pick you up. Travelling from Bairnsdale (or East Gippsland) - continue through the townships of Sale, Traralgon, Trafalgar, Yarragon then keep your eyes open after the Darnum exit for the Nilma exit which is off to the left. EXIT THE FREEWAY AT THIS POINT and turn right at the roundabout (over the bridge and the M1 Freeway) and follow the road around to the left until you get to Bloomfield Road - to Mt.Baw Baw / Neerim South. Turn right at Bloomfield Road then follow the same instructions listed to find us from Melbourne listed above. Melways Map reference is 628 B7 VicRoads Map reference is 96 H4 IT WOULD BE OUR PLEASURE TO PILOT YOU IN FROM THE NILMA TURN OFF IF YOU ARE AT ALL CONCERNED. |
