Airway Motel is conveniently located in Ascot, a place to stay not only for your overnight stopover, but where you are also able to enjoy the convenience of our great location for longer stays. Outside of these hours you can get to the Motel by either: Car: follow Airport Drive, go through the big roundabout, turn left at the first set of traffic lights onto NUDGEE ROAD,and then turn left onto LAMINGTON AVENUE after you pass the DOOMBEN racecourse. TAXI - Will cost between $18-$22 and will depend on the time of day. Train - Take the airport train to Eagle Junction and change trains for the Doomben train to Doomben station. [same platform]. |

Undercover parking is subject to availability. LONG TERM parking is available at the cost of $10.00 per day. Parking is at owners risk. |

Walk to Eagle Farm and Doomben Racecourses for a punt on the horses, or if feeling energetic, practise your golf game at the Royal Queensland and Nudgee Golf Courses or indulge in rugby or cricket at the Suncorp Stadium and The Gabba. Enjoy your evening meal at the Hamilton Bowls Club (50m) or take a short walk to the many restaurants and cafes on Racecourse Road. Experience the city at any time by using public transport: the bus is at the front door, Doomben train-station is just 100 metres away and a ten-minute stroll takes you to the famous Bretts Wharf and the City Cat ferry terminal. The launch terminal to Tangalooma Island is situated a short 10 minute drive away. Westfield Shopping Town is only a short drive by car or bus as is the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Cultural Centre and Southbank, a great place for crafts and markets! We are also located near the Gateway Motorway, offering an easy drive to many major theme parks including Sea World, Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild, Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo and The Big Pineapple. |
