Location, location, location! Situated on Hobart's Waterfront, The Customs House Hotel is easy walking distance to Salamanca, Historic Battery Point, Cruises, buses and CBD. Built in 1846 this Hobart hotel has a rich history which is revealed in the beautiful convict stone walls which envelope the popular seafood restaurant and has been exposed in some of it’s accommodation. Decorated with contemporary simplicity and flair, our ensuite rooms make an ideal base for your holiday in Tasmania. Some of our 3.5 star rated rooms have views to the river and docks, Salamanca and the gardens of Parliament House. Each room has tv, small fridge, FREE internet access, tea and coffee making facilities. And all tariffs include a FREE cooked breakfast. Our dining room is open for breakfast from; 7am-10am mon- fri & 8am - 10am Sat, sun & public holidays Customs House Hotel has an award winning restaurant which serves only the freshest produce, from oysters, mussels, fish, steak and chicken. Lunch 12-2.30pm Dinner 6 - 9pm Sun-Thurs and until 9.30pm Friday & Sat nights We are open 364 days a year - Christmas day we are closed. A fun and lively bar with plasma tvs to watch your favourite sport, where you can also have things such as steak sandwiches and $10 meal options. Our new "VUE" bar is suitable for your next big celebration is now open for business.. We are a no smoking hotel. We also have a no pets policy. Customs House now has a lift for the convenience of guests. Customs has wifi in the bar & restaurant for our customer convenience. A guest laundry is located on the first floor. |

| Getting There |
Taxi's from the Hobart airport cost approx. $36 and takes 20 mins. An airporter shuttle bus also operates to and from the airport and will pick up and drop off at Customs House, approx cost $15 per person. If you are driving yourself follow the signs to Hobart and cross over the Tasman Bridge. Follow the signs to wharf area and you will find yourself on Davey Street. The fourth street on your left is Murray St. We are at the corner of Murray and Morrison Streets. |

We do not have our own off street parking but, we are surrounded by one hour metres directly outside which operate 8:30am until 6pm, except sundays. |

Salamanca Markets on Saturdays, Shopping in Hobart's CBD and Salamanca Precinct, Cruise bookings (Peppermint Bay, Harbour cruises, Wrest Point), and departures opposite Customs. Double decker bus tours. trike rides to Mount Wellington. Heritage walks and ghost tours. Walk around the Historic Battery Point & the Hobart Museum. Peruse our wonderful Galleries in Salamanca & Hunter St, featuring the marvelous art & craft of our local artists. Pick your restaurant around the Waterfront and have a drink in a variety of trendy bars or a coffee in one of our cosmopolitan cafes in Salamanca. The Aquatic Centre and Botanical Gardens is just a comfortable walk away. TASTE of Tasmania every New Year from the 28/12 to 3/1, on Princes Wharf opposite the Hotel. Sydney Hobart Yacht race, watch the winners arrive in Hobart from 28/12 onwards.Visit Constitution dock and admire all the wonderful yachts. |
