Bavarian Motel is ideally located on North Road (SH6), within easy reach of Invercargill city centre and Southland. Bavarian Motel is a great place to base your Invercargill stay.

Invercargill is a great base to see Southland, pop over to Stewart Island for the day (or longer) visit Catlins, Riverton, & Bluff. Check out our museum which has a live Tuatara display, Queens Park for a stroll around the gardens & animal display. Invercargill has some great specialty shops for example E-Hays (traditional hardware & Indian motorbike display), Glowing Sky (merino clothing), Seriously Good Chocolate, H & J Smiths (department store) to name a few.

If you like walking there are a number of good walking tracks in & around the city which we can personally recommend.
