Kurrara Historic Guest House, circa 1902, was built as the second guest house in Katoomba. Said to have been run by Mrs Wilkins, manageress, as a 'first class establishment', Kurrara is a beautiful Victorian country home that embraces the history of the Blue Mountains, with its eclectic furnishings and architecture. Staying at Kurrara will transport you back to a time of old fashioned values, as you enjoy the modern day comforts that Kurrara offers. All our 8 bedrooms have en suites, some with spa baths, romantic gas log fires and four poster beds. All of our rooms now contain flat screen TVs and DVD players. You will enjoy the gas log fires in our Lounge Room and TV Room, where you can relax with a glass of port and a good book, or enjoy watching a DVD from our library. Kurrara also offers you free wifi, and off street parking.

We serve a continental breakfast of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, jams & spreads & freshly brewed coffee, tea and orange juice.

Kurrara is centrally located and within walking distance to the Three Sisters, Echo Point and Katoomba town centre. Close to bush walks, scenic views, and only a stroll to a variety of restaurants.

Please read all information before booking, including room inclusions. We aim to provide you with as much notice about us, so as not to disappoint you. All facilities and services that are not listed, we do not provide.

When booking, please consider that we are primarily a couple's retreat, and do not have the proper facilities for children. For rooms that do have the capacity for a third person, children are from ages 2 - 14yrs. Adult rates apply for 14yrs+, children under 2yrs incur no charge, but need to be noted in the 'comments' section.

Our check in opens at 2 pm - please plan travel accordingly, as house is locked prior to this time. Our check in closes at 8 pm along with our reception. If you require a later time, you must contact us directly to organise this. Fees will incur for check-ins both earlier than 2 pm and later than 8 pm that have not been directly arranged with us.

Getting There	17 Coomonderry St, Katoomba - Blue Mountains, NSW. By car from Sydney: traveling on Paramatta Road take the M4 to Penrith/Blue Mountains. At Katoomba, turn left at the 3rd set of lights to cross over the railway bridge (you should have passed by the hospital, the Edge cinema and the council chambers (all on the right)), and turn left at the roundabout. Straight through roundabout at top of Katoomba street, turn right at the next intersection (Lurline street). Continue down Lurline, through the intersection at Waratah Street and continue past Katoomba RSL (left on corner Merriwa st). The next street on the left after Merriwa is Coomonderry Street. Turn right at the first crossroad into Ada Street, and turn right into carpark. By Train from Airport to Central Station then leaving for Katoomba every hour. Taxi bay position at Katoomba station. Parking	Free off-street parking, off Ada st (we sit on the corner of Coomonderry and Ada Sts). Free on-street parking in quiet areas also available.
Things To Do	We are only a short walk to the Three sisters, Echo point, and to enjoy the many restaurants and shops that Katoomba has to offer. Katoomba offers a vibrant live music scene with visiting overseas and local artists at intimate venues, only a short walking distance from Kurrara. Enjoy the many bush walks in the surrounding area or go on an indigenous tour to visit billabongs and 'off the track' places. Katoomba is only a 1.5 hour drive to the beautiful Jenolan Caves where you can enjoy concerts in the caves. Visit Blackheath, the Chiffley plateau, the grand canyon and Megalong valley Enjoy horse riding in Megalong Valley. Bush-walking: from the guest house you can start the beautiful Federal past track to the Three sisters and the Scenic Railway. Discover the wonderful Wentworth Falls Valley of the Waters track and the Blackheath Grand Canyon.
