Peace and Plenty Inn extends a world of romance, graciousness, fine food, and hospitality. The property is situated in an unbeatable location on the waterfront in the historic village of Devonport.

The Peace and Plenty is a magnificently restored historic 1880s Victorian Villa, it offers seven luxurious King/Queen rooms decorated in English Antique and French Provincial style, all with ensuites. Tea/coffee/sherry/port are complimentary.

We are 3-4 minutes from the ferry which takes you across to Auckland Central (8 minute journey) and the surrounding islands of the Hauraki Gulf. The ferry runs regulary from early morning to late at night. Step outside and enjoy the choice of cafes, antique and boutique shops.

Devonport also has two excellent museums. There are stunning 360 degree views from Mount Victoria, over Auckland and the Waitemata Harbour.

Exploring Devonport is a highlight for guests as they meander down tree-lined streets, admire the historic homes, stroll the white sandy beaches, and enjoy the enchanting harbour and city views. Getting There If flying or arriving in Auckland on a cruise ship we can arrange for you to be met and conveyed directly to Peace and Plenty Inn. Our driver will assist you with baggage and other formalities. Please let us know your needs at the time of reservation. The cost of this service is approximately NZ$70 per group up to a maximum of 6 people.

If driving from the airport or from points South, follow the motorway, Highway One, North (well signed form the airport). Cross over the Harbour Bridge and take the Esmonde Road ramp off the motorway and follow the blue direction signs to Devonport. As you approach Devonport you will pass the golf course on your left and reach a mini roundabout at the base of Mount Victoria. Turn right and follow the road down Victoria Road main street. Turn left near the end, in front of the fountain, into Flagstaff Terrace. Peace and Plenty is the first house on the left (Number 6) overlooking the reserve and beach.

Things To Do Should you choose to explore the village you may find yourself in one of the fine cafes that Devonport has to offer or dine in one of the many restaurants. Alternatively there are boutiques and antique shops to browse, or mountain walks to discover, or perhaps a swim on Cheltenham Beach.

There is also a ferry terminal offering island and city excursions and connections to further tours such as those of the Coromandel, Tiritiri Matangi and Kawau Island.

Devonport has three historical museums and a cinema. It has tennis courts, an 18 hole golf course, and a gym all within five minutes.
