Vacy Hall is a century-old grand colonial heritage-listed mansion surrounded by over an acre of gardens and is only 300 metres walk from Toowoomba's CBD. Designed as a private residence in the 1800's by prominent Toowoomba architect, James Marks, Vacy Hall features an imposing entry portico leading into a grand hall with a central domed area, leadlight windows and beautifully patterned parquetry floors of teak, cedar and crow's ash. Vacy Hall boasts twelve guest bedrooms and twelve guest bathrooms. All suites have fireplaces, some with cedar bay windows opening on to wide verandahs, and the crisp Darling Downs' nights permit guests to enjoy a crackling fire for most of the year. Vacy Hall is located in a quiet area convenient to the city centre, and provides restful, comfortable accommodation in an atmosphere that is totally different to motel and hotel rooms. Its old world charm makes Vacy Hall perfect for honeymooners and couples of any age seeking a romantic interlude or travellers seeking a quality alternative to motels/hotels. Conference Facilities - the spacious drawing room at the front of the house is an ideal venue for small conferences, seminars and business meetings. All rooms have direct dial telephones, internet and fax data ports, tv, tea and coffee making facilities. Most rooms have central heating and access to verandahs. Wholesome country style breakfasts can be served in your room, on the wide colonial verandah or in the dining room. |

After coming up to the top of the range from Brisbane, follow the Warrego Highway around to the left into James Street past the Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre, continue West along James Street, cross over the railway line and just after the Toowoomba Base Hospital (a large complex on the left) turn right at the lights into West Street, continue to the first roundabout and turn right into Russell Street, Vacy Hall is 100 metres on the left behind a large hedge. |
