Opened in October 2003 Goomburra Forest Retreat is a 4 Star property with three new private self contained cottages, each with one Queen bed and one double Sofa Bed (2 are open Plan). Individual comfort is also enhanced with all linen, anti allergenic pillows and pure wool quilts provided, spacious modern bathroom with large double shower. Each cottaged is fitted with a glass fronted wood fire for winter warmth.(ceiling fans for summer) Fully Kitted kitchen and private BBQ facility. Enjoy the tranquility of eco-friendly cottages set amongst natural forest & mountains. 300 metres from National Park with rain forest walks and spectacular views over the scenic rim. There is a restaurant nearby (weekends only) dinner bookings essential. | Getting There |
From Brisbane head towards Warwick on Cunningham Highway (Route 15) turn right at Gladfield (Driver Reviver location)Follow the signs for Main Range National Park - Goomburra Section. drive 10 Kms to Goomburra Hall, turn right at these crossroads on to Inverramsay Road (check signage here)and drive 25 Kms to Goomburra Forest Retreat on the right. From Toowoomba, drive towards Warwick on the New England Highway, after passing Allora turn left on Tourist Route 14 (signposted Main Range NationalPark - Goomburra Section)) drive 35 Kms Inveramsay Road becomes Forestry Reserve Road. We are situated on the right - look for the Frog on the gate. |

Undercover car parking is available for one vehicle at each cottage at no extra charge. Other vehicles may be parked in the open. |
| Things To Do |
DO IT ALL.....Walk alongside the isolated and tranquil creek and forest. Paddle or swim in the creek (weather permitting). Bush walking in the National Park, which has numerous trails and spectacular lookouts. Observe abundant flora and fauna. Guests may borrow binnoculars. Visit Historic Glengallan Homestead on weekends. or DO NOTHING AT ALL..... simply enjoy the ambience of the forest. |
