Klong Chao is the main beach but if you want to discover the very nicest beaches, perhaps some of the best in the country, head to the remote Ao Jark and Ao Prao. Koh Kood isn't that easy to navigate around and if you do want to explore we recommend renting a motorcycle which will allow you to seek out these isolated stretches of sand. From your Koh Kood hotel a trip to the local fishing village, Ao Salat, is well worth a break from your day of sunbathing. The island is easy enough to access as a public boat from the mainland at Trat can be caught for a small price. Alternatively if you are on nearby Koh Chang it is possible to catch a boat from there too.
