Getting There	By Car: From Wellington: Take SH2 to Hutt Valley. Exit right into block road (immediately after Melling Bridge exit. Block road joins Pharazyn Street and Champers Motor Inn is at the other end of the street on the left hand side. From SH2 North: This would apply if you arrive via Upper Hutt or join SH2 from SH58 i.e. from the Kapiti Coast via Heywards Hill. Take block road exit which is on your left immediately prior to the Melling Bridge turnoff. By Train: Take Melling line train from Wellington to Western Hutt railway station. Exit station village to left into Parliament St, walk to end into Bridge St and Pharazyn St is first on left. Champers Motor Inn is on the right hand side of the street just passed the Normandale Bridge. Please note the Melling line does not operate weekends. See Tranzmetro for details. By Taxi or Shuttle: Hutt & City Taxi Supershuttle (from airport or ferry terminal)

Things To Do	Adjacent to Lower Hutt CBD. Attractions include Westfield Queensgate which is the largest shopping mall in the Wellington region. Close to Lower Hutt Civic Centre and the Newdowse with its world class exhibitions. Few minutes drive from Hutt and Boulcott hospitals. Sporting venues in the area include the Walter Nash Stadium, Fraser Park, Huia swimming pool and several excellent golf courses. Sporting venues in Upper Hutt such as Trentham Racecourse, Te Marua Stock Car Track and The Trentham Rifle Range are a short drive via SH2 motorway. The Hutt Valley is renowned for its many walkways and cycle tracks such as the Belmont Domain and the karipoti area. Historic petone precinct is only a few minutes by car and is fast becoming the alternative shopping and dining experience in the region. Wellington is also only minutes via the motorway. Destinations such as Westpac Trust Stadium (home of Wellington 7's, the Hurricanes and the Wellington Phoenix soccer team), TSB Arena, Te Papa, Cable Car, Parliament Buildings, WOW (world of wearable arts) are within easy reach. The Golden Mile is Wellington's renowned strip of designer shopping. Both the Interisland Ferry and the Bluebridge Ferry and within easy travelling distance via the motorway.
