The Transit Centre Accommodation offer 42 air-conditioned rooms in total, being a mixture of dormatory and double rooms.
Kitchen and laundry facilities on-site, as is an outside deck with spa pool and bbqs. Common lounge room with large screen tv.
The Transit Centre Accommodation is a short 8 minute walk from Flinders mall, where you will find supermarkets, post office, banks, internet cafes, bus access to the rest of the city.
The nightlife is directly across the river from us. There are a number of great restaurants and eat-outs right at our front door.
There are also a number of great activities to do once here, ranging from day trips to the reef or Billabong Sanctuary, to the Castle Hill walking track, or spending the day at our lovely beach.

Getting There	Travel into Townsville on the Flinders Highway. Exit onto Sturt Street. Follow Sturt Street to the end where it meets Dean St and turn right. Follow Dean Street and turn left into Palmer Street. We are situated on the corner of Palmer and Plume Streets, South Townsville. Most local taxi drivers know us well. The local airport shuttle drop off/pick up from the front door.
Parking	We have on-street and off-street parking available at no charge. Please ask at the front desk on arrival. There is also a set-down area at the main front door.
Things To Do	Day trips to Magnetic Island or the reef. Do a day trip to Billabong Sanctuary and have your photo taken with a koala or a crocodile! Spend an afternoon or a whole day at our local beach, The Strand. Track up to Castle Hill look-out and enjoy 360 degree views of Townsville and Magnetic Island.
