"Hotel well located"
I was asked to pay for my two day stay in advance upon check in. I convinced the desk clerk that rather than pay the $8 service fee for the use of my credit card, I would return in the morning with cash, which I did. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never paid for my room in advance unless the hotel was booked through an agent. I find the requirement to pay in advance and the fees charged for use of my credit card off putting. The room was neat and tidy. The furnishings were a little dated and thread bear. The fan in the bathroom was completely useless. We complained at the desk and an engineer was promptly sent to the room. He explained that the main fan is on the roof and as we were on the 11th floor, that is just how it works. So no ventilation in bathroom. Two guests two towels one bar of soap.

"Disappointing this time around"
Aircon controls did not work. Had to get the batteries changed. TV was not working properly - reception so poor unable to watch it. Had someone come and look at it but after 20minutes they could not work out the problem so I asked them to leave as I needed to have a meeting. Music system initially not working however this was fixed upon my request. Key lock cards needed to be reconfigured twice in order to work properly. No apology from the hotel for these inconveniences. Could do without the hassles when I am travelling for business.

"Birthday surprise"
I booked the Maritime Suite which are situated on the corners of the building. It was a birthday surprise for my husband and I had checked in earlier. The room was wonderful. Even though the hotel is obviously going through serious renovations, our stay was not affected in any way. I would like to come back when it is fully completed.

"Nice Hotel . . ."
We had a great room due to an upgrade they gave us when they had trouble finding us a room. Good hotel, nice facilities only issue we had was pool area out of use on one day of our stay. Staff not all that friendly but weren't rude either just not overly helpful. Would stay there again.
