The room was beautiful was a little bit disappointed that the room was booked and to be paid when we got there. The credit card put down was my partners, but the room was under my name. My partner tried to check in and they wouldn’t let him. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t let him pay. His credit card was attached to the booking for both of us makes no sense why would a random just try and pay for a booking we were clearly together and yea he had to wait over a hour till I was there or I had to change the booking which I was at work so not viable I understand if money had exchanged or it wasn’t his bank card but there was both our names on it and no money paid prior.

The staff are, mostly, magnificent. One or two exceptions but that's par for the course with luxury hotels. I love the full-size pool/billiards table (found on level 6, Games Room) and the in-room dining is generally excellent. I was only disappointed by the lack of options on the menu, though everything is prepared to a high standard. The breakfast buffet (available on level 5, FiVth restaurant) is from 6:30 to 8:30 or thereabouts. We enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend the Oakwood Premier.
