Didn't like the fact of climbing over a high bath to have a shower. Although there are hand rails still dangerous. Also unfortunately on my stay there were no commercial TV stations for the night. Although free movies were offered I did not see that note under the door till the next morning, which still did not have any commercial TV. Also the TV's are very small, not a 48" as in add. On a positive note the staff downstairs were obliging and very pleasant. Also loved the piano playing in the lounge area. Good location.

Having stayed at Stamford Plaza multiple times over the past few years I noticed changes. The air con in my room didn't work, when I was relocated to another room the fridge was switched off (who knew?), a bit of other maintenance required. When I checked out and said I'd not used the mini-bar I was told I'd have to wait while they checked with house-keeping. That was a first. Being a long-time customer, I felt disappointed.

I was not informed that there was a building site 6 feet from my window. When work began at 7:00am it certainly did not represent the value I had paid to stay. I would have requested a room move had I known this would occur.
