The room I was first allocated looked directly into a concrete wall of the building being constructed next door. No daylight or view at all. The hotel staff cheerfully upgraded and moved me to a room facing the street and did so in a professional and friendly manner. The room was good and clean and reasonably quiet for the middle of the CBD and I'd be happy to stay here again.

Our room was a few feet away from a building site which started work at 8.00am. We could hear the builders talking and there was mortar splattered on the windows. We asked to move and were upgraded to a great room and were given a late check out. The staff were great at sorting things but really no one should be put in the room we were in for the first night.

The property was fine, lots of construction work going on across the road, which was noisy early in the morning. I know that can’t be helped. We were giving an up grade which was nice. The apartment definitely smelled clean, not sure if they had vacuumed as there were bits of tissues on the floor. There were cigarette burns on the carpet and other stains, one of the chairs had a stain on the cushion, there was also large rust stain on the bathroom floor. Apart from that the apartment was comfortable. It was a requirement to show your vaccination certificate to use the pool and gym, not sure why that’s a thing!

In regards to the gym and pool, we are required by law to ensure all guests using the facilities have the COVID vaccine this is why we require a seperate key so we can control the guest who use it for public safety and to follow the current mandate from the Government. The bed was very uncomfortable sunk in the middle need new mattresses so we got very sore backs. No lighters for the stove and no washing machine or oven for an apartments. Communication with staff was ok. Wouldnt stay there again..

Great location near the Queen Victoria Market and close to all city tram routes and the Flagstaff station. Room was clean and quiet. Front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and polite. Unfortunately one bank of elevators wasn't working for our stay which meant some long waits getting to/from our room at times. Also the pool area needed some attention - it needed a clean and tidy for most of our stay - left guest belongings were there the whole time. The pool itself needed the bottom vacuuming. It didn't appear anyone was servicing the bathrooms in the pool area either as soap dispensers were not refilled.
