Could not fault the check in and front desk staff. Found out what train and bus to catch to an out of city venue for us. Very friendly and helpful. Property is probably just a bit tired but was clean and close to all we wanted to do during our stay.

It's an inexpensive option for an overnight stay. Nothing fancy as expected. The room and sheets were clean, the pillows soft and the mattress hard. I was the under the impression the additional cost for breakfast was a buffet which it wasn't, so a bit disappointed there, but not complaining.

I don't know of a cheaper hotel in Melbourne that is this well located, clean and modern for the price. Despite what the listing says, no $100 security deposit was required. Other guests can be a little loud, but that's a minor complaint.

We found the whole experience of our stay very satisfactory. We had a great view of the historic building across Spencer St. The room was very clean, the staff very friendly & helpful. There was public parking in Flinders Ln. Very convenient place to stay. Highly recommend!
