I am disappointed overall that 5 days after returning home I still have not had a return of my 50 dollar security deposit .Not good enough Causeway? Will not come back again.

It is unfortunate that issues relating to your security bond have left you with a negative overall impression of your overall time with us. I would like to take this opportunity to clear up some confusion relating to the security bond procedure. As is common with hotels internationally, when guests check-in we process a pre-authorisation on a credit card of any outstanding accommodation amount, as well as a nominal $50 security bond in case of incidental expenses. This is not a charge but an amount frozen in the guest’s account by their bank on our behalf and may appear as a ‘pending’ transaction in internet banking terms. Upon check-out, any un-used portion of the security bond is released immediately by the hotel. The timing on when these released funds become ‘available’ within the account is at the sole discretion of the guest’s bank and usually occurs within a small number of business days. It is important to note that since the security bond was a pre-authorisation or a ‘freeze’ and not a transaction in itself, there will not be two corresponding debit and credit transactions. Rather the ‘pending’ transaction including the $50.00 security bond should simply disappear. While the anonymous nature of this review makes it difficult to comment on specifics, should these security bond funds still have not cleared, please do not hesitate to contact our hotel directly and I will be more than happy to follow up with the bank on your behalf. The bed and pillows were so comfy, thanks! First port of call the service lady we had to book in with was rather rude to us and even when being over rode by the nice duty mananger, Lachlan she still remained argumentative to him in front of us. Only sorry I didnt take much noticeof her name, as she could benifit from some help in customer service!!

Great location, close to Flinders St and reasonably priced parking. Room had excellent blockout curtains and very quiet. We will be back! Thank you to the friendly staff. Even had decent mini bar prices.
