Resturant was really good, hotel and room run down, needs refurbishing and not in the best part of town but clean. Air con needs cleaning but for 1 night it did what it had to do.

Stayed at Mount Richmond Hotel for a week whilst visiting Auckland from overseas. Despite the location being slightly out from Auckland city, it is an easy drive into the city or public transport is available. From the moment we arrived, the young gentleman working reception in the afternoons was very kind and welcoming and extremely helpful, even providing recommendations after we had an issue with our car. The room was spotless, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable allowing for a great night's sleep every night. The hotels facilities, including the pool and spa were excellent and great to use after a long day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend staying here!

The rooms were a bit tired and could do with some maintenance but they were clean and more than adequate for our stay. Staff were friendly and the pool area was lovely. The bar had a good choice of beverages at very reasonable prices. Would recommend this hotel to others

This place is far FAR from a 4 star hotel. The staff is amazing, the rest is not. Bathroom has and smells of mold. The king size bed is 2 smaller beds pushed together like a cruise ship. You can hear everything in your room, doors slamming, people talking in the halls etc. This hotel is 2.5 - 3 stars. I have no idea why Expedia has this at 4 stars. There is a small room with casino slots which was a plus 😎

Large double bed kept separating (2 singles pushed together), and the blankets and sheets were too small for the larger bed. It was tidy enough and looks like they've been doing updates but some corners had ripped up carpet where bugs were coming through the floor. The pool was nice but had some leaves in it. All staff were very nice and welcoming though
