This was a great location to easily travel around Tokyo by less than a five minute walk to Shinjuku station. The checkin was easy, which all the little amenities in the lobby that you’re welcome to take to you room was lovely! The room itself is small but we expected that. It did the job and it was a comfortable stay.

The property has great location and check in was smooth. Check-in was smooth with toiletry items available on the main floor and bathrobes on the main floor. There are coin laundry machines available on alternating floors and you can actually see which ones are in use via their hotel app. The room was much more nicer than the photos but like other people mention very small. There is space underneath the bed to store luggage to save on space. The staff was very nice and assisted us in retrieving our transferred luggage. They even helped my wife when her TSA luggage jammed. When checked out the staff was nice enough to hold our luggage until hotel shuttle bus came while shopped and ate. I love this place and can’t wait to come back.

Hotels lobby is beautiful and looks updates. Staff are great. Easy process to check in and out. The hotel rooms and hallways are old and need an update. Room tables dressers all scratched and bathroom tubs are browning. Carpet also needs some love. Clean but needs an update.

We had about 12 hours in Tokyo (arrived 7pm and left 7am), so we were looking for a reasonably priced accommodation that’s a step up from capsule hotels. This place absolutely delivered. There was an automatic check-in and check-out process that made leaving early a breeze. Toiletries were available in the lobby for pickup before going to our rooms. Yes, the rooms are cramped by western standards, but the hotel’s prime location more than makes up for the lack of space. I personally wouldn’t stay here if I had lots of luggage, but otherwise this place is perfect for people looking to save a little money on hotels without sacrificing location.

An excellent Hotel and staff! Very clean, extremely helpful staff. Small room but typical for tokyo. Shower is fantastic. English speaking, when I needed it. Easy check-in and super quick check out. Breakfast buffet was great. Location is excellent and very close to train station. I would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku for four nights in May 2025. We were very pleased with the -hotel and plan to stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was in perfect condition and the check-in, check-out process was very smooth and fast. Of course these things are normal in Japan. The location near Shinjuku Station and the many shops and restaurants of Shinjuku is another attraction.

Great value base for five nights in tokyo

Good central location for getting around Tokyo and close to both underground and train and restaurants. We didn’t eat in the hotel but went to a nearby Starbucks with an outside terrace beside the station to soak up the atmosphere for breakfast. Hotel was immaculate. Tiny rooms but that was to be expected. We were never in it!
