Check in was truly the worst. I never saw such a long line of people waiting to check in to a hotel in my life. It was like waiting for a ride at Disneyland. It took more than 45 minutes. I was unsure whether to try the check in machine but it didn’t seem to be much faster. I know some might say well you can always arrive off peak hours but when you’re coming from somewhere else having to check out by 11am, you just need to check in to your next hotel as soon as possible. I honestly didn’t see anything about the hotel that justifies such demand. To me it was a very typical hotel, good location, and served by the airport limo bus. My first impression when I got there was I made a mistake booking here. They need to put their corporate heads together and seriously rethink their whole process and infrastructure. They need way more self service kiosk, maybe triple or quadruple the number, and they need to increase the check in staff by at least 50%. But of course that costs money and then this hotel just becomes more expensive, right? I thought the Japanese people were very efficient but this was a glaring exception.
