Excellent location right across from Shinagawa station, with plenty of restaurants, a food court, a 7-Eleven, and a grocery store all within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Has a shuttle bus to take us to Grand Prince Shin Takanawa hotel where the Narita Airport limousine stops. Stayed in 2 different rooms and carpeting on both rooms are much overdue for replacement

The room was clean upon check in and daily service was done very well. The room included toothbrushes and slippers and these were replaced daily. (Hand soap, body soap, shampoo and conditioner are also included). Glassware was always cleaned, and tea and coffee were replaced daily. Cheating staff worked around our personal items and cleaned around them. The hotel is conveniently located, close to Shinagawa train station and many restaurant and shops. Though we didn’t enjoy the bowling alley, aquarium or movies right in the hotel, it was exciting to see as part of the complex. The gym is well equipped and it was an added bonus as it was free for guests. Though the room was on the smaller size, the extra amenities made up for it.

This was the biggest hotel on our entire trip. We had the main tower twin room, 21m2. Smallest room on our entire trip but still a reasonable size. I was happy with that. Our room was on the 24/F facing Shinagawa Station and I could see planes going up from and down to Haneda Airport! That was nice. Staff was efficient. The luggage storage area was an eye-opener. QR code to enter your information and get a ticket. Always a long line. Luggage was stored in rooms not at the hotel lobby (small hotels). Coin-operated storage lockers are also available. The luggage storage team doesn't accept perishables and valuables. For breakfast, there are three restaurant options. Again, use the QR code to check the restaurant options. Luxe Dining Hapuna is one of the three. It is like a huge banquet hall. Another eye-opener! It offers white rice and special grain rice. The rice dispensing machine was cute! You select the size and out comes the rice! You can also make your own beef rice bowls. It also offers French toast, homemade tofu and some unique desserts. Also, we were very lucky as on our second morning there, their Chinese restaurant Shinagawa Daihanten was open for breakfast! No long queues for everything and very quiet. It had certain same items as Hapuna. I got to try these dishes that Hapuna didn't have - steamed fish, ma po tofu, steamed Chinese sponge cake, almond jelly with mango, Chinese bread dough stick (cut into pieces, next to the tea leaves egg in my photo).

I was very disappointed with my stay. For a hotel rated 4 stars, the quality was severely lacking. The shower pressure was incredibly weak, and the towels provided were thin and far too small. To make matters worse, the women's amenities were poor. ​The biggest issue was the air conditioning, which did not work. When I called to report it, the staff told me I had to come down to the lobby to speak with them instead of sending someone to help. No one ever came to fix the issue. I would not recommend this hotel if you expect quality service or basic comfort.

Breakfast at the hotel is very expensive and overrated. Save yourself some time and money. Get a breakfast at 7/11 or any French bakery inside the train station. Rooms are small for a US point of view, but very large for a Japanese point of view. It's sitting next to the trains station, which makes it very easy to visit the entire Tokyo area.

Horrible experience with the checkin at New Year’s Eve. The front desk lady was unwilling to be flexible to change our room from smoking room to non smoking room while they have it available. It took us a long time on New Year’s Eve, to talk with the manager and make the switch.
