This was a great place to stay. It's walkable to the main Shibuya shopping and restaurants, but on a quieter street. The immediate area around the hotel has neighborhood bars, restaurants, a grocery, pharmacy, 7-11, etc, so there's convenience no matter what. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

I was a bit skeptical in booking a hotel in Tokyo as I read about how small the rooms would be but the twin room we got is very spacious and has a small kitchenette and washing/dryer machine! Outside the hotel, there are plenty of small restaurants and a small grocery and pharmacy. It’s a bit of a walk to Shibuya crossing but not too bad. The walk was a pain when we came home from shopping at Mega Donki.

It’s within walking distance of Shibuya station, but be aware that means 10-20 minutes depending on you and luggage. It’s not near the main entrance but a back way in via a mall. Otherwise it’s exactly what the Tokyo Stay brand provides: compact but adequate, with a washer dryer and mini kitchen in every room and basic facilities for luggage and coffee in the lobby.

What a wonderful place to stay in a new country. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. The room was clean, roomy and had a washing/drying combo. I was able to fly back to the US with clean clothes! Its within walking distance to two subway stations - plus a mall that's attached to hotel (Mark Story Hotel) which also lets you off at Shibuya Scramble Crossing. There were lots of cute small restaurants to eat, but if on a budget - There is a Family Mart, Lawsons and 7-11 that served very good meals as well. There is also a local supermarket right across from the entrance. Lastly they will hold your luggage if you come earlier than check out and a few hours after check out. So you get the most out of your trip in Tokyo. They also hailed us a taxi to the airport. If I go to Japan again I will stay here again.

Check-in was simple and the staff was great & responsive. The room was perfect for 1 or two people despite me traveling solo. It was a 2 minute walk to the nearest convenience stores or restaurants and about 15 minutes to the Shibuya Station and even less to the nearest bus stop. AC, Smart HD TV, microwave, coffee pot, fridge, hot plate etc all work amazingly. Would highly recommend this place when staying in Shibuya!

We visited in August during our first trip to Japan. It was a bit hard to find but likely this is because we are not used to navigating Japan. There room was small - the memes/shorts/etc are true! Although the room was small, it met our needs for a one-night stay. We really appreciated the in-room washer and dryer! The hotel is within walking distance of Shibuya station and close to many other attractions, including lots of dining and shopping options. Lovely staff. Recommend! However, we’ll be looking for something a bit bigger when we return.

Charming neighborhood, close to Shinsen Station

Rooms are small, but as we've learned, to be expected in Japan. Kitchen area is modestly stocked and could use more utensils and kitchenware. The friendliness of the staff, comfortable lounge area to work in, proximity to the Shinsen Station line that connects to Shibuya, and quiet, lovely neighborhood filled with small restaurants, a market across the street, and a nearby 7-11, make staying at the Tokyu Stay Shibuya convenient and peaceful.
