Location was very convenient. Keisei Ueno station, Ueno station, and Okachimachi station were all within walking distance of less than 10min. Having direct access to Narita airport via skyliner means you do not have to lug ur luggage around when changing lines in the metro (metro transfers in japan are known to be long and mostly staircases). Plenty of dining options nearby near Ameyoko shopping street. If not, there’s a 7-11 and family mart within 100m for a quick fix. No issues at all with the room, clean and quiet as expected.

Easy to find hotel in Ueno. Good access to transport and good places to eat nearby. Hotel rooms are not too small for Tokyo (have stayed in smaller). The room air con is in a bit of an odd location - right above the bed - thankfully it wasn't baking hot otherwise we'd be sleeping in a constant draft. Very friendly and helpful staff and everything is pretty clean and tidy.

Typical Japanese hotel with the nice, but cosy rooms. However they do lose points for being the only hotel chain in Japan that we've stayed in that charges for luggage storage. For that reason, we would not choose this chain again.

The hotel is in a great location, directly across the road from a popular dining and shopping district and a couple of minute walk from Ueno station. Ueno park is lovely during Sakura season and also very close by. Cheaper than Shinjuku and Shibuya (about 35 minutes away by train) but still vibrant and lively. I’ve stayed here three different times now, and if I’m ever in Ueno again, I’ll likely pick the same place. The staff are always pleasant and professional and happy to help. The rooms are small, this is to be expected based on the location, but are always comfortable and clean.

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was absolutely worth it! It's in a perfect area very close to transportation and across the street there are tons of places to eat that close eat as well as convenient stores. The area is safe to walk around in even late at night and it's not loud. We got the deluxe single room and there was enough space for both of our suitcases and the bathroom had a deep tub. Staff were very friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Tokyo!

Not bad - I would recommend

Room was good size for a solo traveller. Bathroom was good too. The air conditioning had a bad smell coming from it. It was off putting. Room was dusty at some places. House keeping needs to do a better job. Good location, not so far from Ueno station which was pretty handy. I would definitely recommend it. If the rooms are cleaned better and the ac didn’t emit a bad smell then it was 8/10 for sure.
