Hotel was enormous and felt like a tour group or business hotel rather than having a particular personality to it. We were disappointing to discover that they charge extra to use the pool (not something that was clear when we were booking through the site and definitely would not have stayed here and paid the cost if we knew this in advance). Most disappointing was the check in experience as we discovered about the pool charges and hotel staff were completely unwilling to do anything to accomodate us. The manager jjust kept re-stating that everyone must pay and it was between us and Wotif to work out and nothing to do with them. Perhaps a cultural difference in customer complaint resolution in Japan compared with other hotels around the world, but certainly started off our trip feeling we weren’t getting value for money within the hotel or personalised service from the staff.

Good Location and great service

Pros: The food, the staff and the location.
Cons: The Beds were very hard.
Location: The location in Sharajuku was excellent, close to amenities and shops.
The hotel was well located and the benefit of the JTB office on site was a lucky pick. The breakfast was good and diverse and I would recommend including it in your hotel stay. The staff were very good at the hotel and cooperative. The room was a good size with three adults staying in a single room. The Handy Phone was very good. My only negative comment was the bed, they were very hard but this may have been cultural. Overall very happy and I would stay there again.

Excellent Location with Wonderful Service

My husband, two young boys, and I, stayed at the Keio Plaza for our last three nights in Japan. It's a Great location, close enough to the station and shops, without being right in the middle of the hustle when kids are sleeping. The service was phenomenal! Our young son had his 5th Birthday while we were there. I had gone to Guest relations (on Saturday 27th May at about 1030am) to ask where to find a Bakery for a cake, and the lady was so helpful. He was surprised that afternoon to find a Happy Birthday note and a nice box with mini chocolate cake bars for him in our room. Thank You Keio Plaza!

Clean room & easy access to train station, Disney

Pros: Clean room and easy access to train station and restaurants nearby.
Location: Free shuttle bus to Disney parks
When booked and checked into hotel, we specified that we need a non-smoking room in the request (as we were travelling with kids). Then we were allocated to a room with tobacco smell and reception staff insisted that it was a non-smoking room (maybe previous guest smoked in the room). My wife wasn't happy with it as her nose is very sensitive with tobacco smell. Luckily, the luggage assistant (don't know his name) helped us and went back to reception to change another room for us. We really appreciated his help and hope we did not caused any trouble to him.

Fantastic hotel.

Stayed for three nights with two teens. Easy to find from Shinjuku station (there are signs in English), we walked there with the assistance of "moving walks" to make it easier with bags. We were checked in a little earlier than expected and were provided with a free upgrade to a slightly larger room. The "triple" room had three good size single beds (something I had been worried about as booking the room didn't really indicate this) the beds are standardly firm and the pillows were kind of larger cushions. But after a day of walking/exploring they were pretty comfy. Room had all the usual features (temperature control, mini fridge & tv) and had USB charger plugs, so if you forget your conversion adapter it won't matter. The view was of some other buildings and some of the city outskirts. The bathroom was nice, shower over bath, clothes line, amenities including toothbrushes & hairbrushes, and the "electric" toilet/bidet. Outside the bathroom was a "make up/powder" area that had a sink, which was our favourite part. The staff were fantastic, the majority of those we spoke to could speak English well enough to not have any problems. They have a shuttle bus for Disneyland drop offs/pickups & a convenience store. Only downside was with the elevators trying to checkout, took quite a while as they were always full and we ended up having to fit in separately, and I ended up going up to come back down. Definitely would go back!

Big is not necessarily better!

Pros: Leaving.
Cons: The decor and the fixtures/fittings in the room we stayed were dated, tired and requiring maintenance.
Location: Heaps of shops and some good local restaurants.
We stayed 11 nights in this Shinjuku hotel in what was listed as a 'Luxe' suite in the south wing of this massive complex. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the bathroom whilst adequate was spartan, compact with basic toiletries. Don't you love it when the facility uses ecology as an excuse not to provide those ancillaries we have become accustomed to in higher priced hotels! This images of the room shown in advertising marketing were not reflected in our room 3068 which had a view of the Government Building next door and nothing on the walls ala framed pictures; only stains all over the threadbare carpeting. The staff are polite and eager to assist however are inflexible with any deviation from the policies of the hotel e.g. we had a card (or so I thought to use the swimming pool free) as it turns out, this can only happen on our next visit! The breakfast buffet was more than reasonable although you need to line up, and be prepared for lots of children running around the place. The hotel restaurants are pricey and do not represent value for the fayre. Shinjuku is a shopper's paradise however the hotel is a ten minute hike from those facilities and the train station. We loved Tokyo and will return but not to this hotel.
