Check in didn't leave a great first impression, arrived at night and had to ring the door bell/call the manager number multiple times before anyone knew I was there. Otherwise the stay was fine, you're certainly paying for the location. The hotel itself is clean but basic, facilities offered are generally through partnerships with local businesses. Was able to pay extra for very late checkout on my last day which was very useful. Overall it was what I expected but it did seem to not quite match the price bracket they have put themselves in.

BLACK MOULD AND DAMP ! I arrived with my partner just after 6pm quickly checked in and went to dinner, We got back after 11pm then tried to work out what the musty smell was , after looking around for a bit I then noticed about the entry door the was a medium sized water mark with black mould as my photos , well I can’t upload them on this site but have done SAGE HOTEL WEB SITE I could change rooms as there wasn’t any one at reception being so late , So I. The morning when checking out I called the mobile number at reception a young ladie Chloe came down I told her about the problem and we’ll CARE FACTOR WAS ZERO !! All she said was we will have a look at that, I was astounded with her comment and left with my partner as I had nothing nice to say. This place is in affluent area on James street. This place really relies on the location and well the place has really FALLEN APART AND CUTRIMG CORNERS , my previous stay 3 years ago was faultless.

STUDIO APARTMENT WAS SMALL HAD A BAD SMELL. NO INTERNET TV. THE ROOM HAD A VEIW TO A BRICK WALL NOT LIKE THE PICTURES THIS WAS AFTER ASKING FOR A UP-GRADE. NO PARKING CLOSE TO BUILDING AT PEAK TIMES. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND POLITE. THANK GOD A BOTTL-O WAS LOCATED NEXT DOOR. THIS WILL WORK FOR SOME PEOPLE BUT NOT FOR ME.

Given up on this hotel.
Sadly my 4th and last stay. Often use this hotel for 2 night stays when visiting from UK for work but no more. This was the 3rd time (yes out of 4 stays) this year that the room wasn’t served despite paying for it. Came home late after a day of meetings and dinner and no one on reception to replace key which no longer working and then wait half an hour for clean towels and coffee replenishment when I can eventually find someone.. Would not normally write in a review but when raised with staff on checkout all very apathetic so left no choice. Only 10-12 room nights per year but lost business now. Might be fine for a party hotel but not business or work.

Took a drink from the glass in my room and it was dirty with coffee still on it. My shower head was broken and squirting water everywhere, thankfully I was able to fix it. I was told I could have a late checkout at 11am but still had housekeeping knocking on my door early.
