Lovely hotel. It has been beautifully designed. The staff were very pleasant. Would stay again. The only negative was the room size. I cant recall which room it was that we booked, but I am under 5 foot & slim. I could not walk next to the bed without my shoulders touching the wall. Its probably a 30cm gap. So if you are not small or dont want to jump across the bed to your side, just check the room size.

The room had clearly not been cleaned, including the fact that the sheets, pillows and bed cover were blood stained (fresh blood), the toilet hadn’t been flushed from the last use, there was hair all over the floor and in the bathroom, and there were greasy handprints on everything. We let reception know and we were moved to another room which was a little cleaner but still hair everywhere, handprints and a used bandaid in the bedside table. They reimbursed the cost of our parking for the night, which I appreciated the gesture, but I still would not recommend the stay. We were in Sydney for one night to take our child to Westmead Children’s hospital so we didn’t have much choice but to stick the night out. With COVID19 such a big issue right now, I would have thought cleanliness would be a big priority for any establishment.

Honestly I stayed here because of the price. My first two nights were $75 each. I wouldn’t spend more than $100 a night here. This place reminds me of a Kmart version of meriton. The photos make the hotel look better and bigger then it actually is. My room didn’t come with a balcony and I honestly got a really costraphobic vibe. There were no lamps in the room i had to keep calling reception for things they would forget in the service. I got to the point where I just stopped. I stayed for 2 weeks for isolation and I really do with I stayed somewhere else. Not a bad place but honestly it’s not worth the price. It’s worth $75-$95 a night but nothing more than that.

I took note of your comment and was a bit surprised that you refer us as a kmart version to another hotel as we did spend a lot of effort in our decor to provide our guest a true Marsden experience. Due to it being a heritage building, not all the rooms has a balcony and I do apologise that a lamp and some amenities were missing in your room, I have passed this feedback onto our Front Office Manager to review the procedure with our staff. We have identified all our guests who are in self-isolation during this period and are not aware that you are one of them. Unless you might have not informed any of our staff during this period which you would have had contacts with them and have violated the rule set by the government. To this extent, we have performed extra cleaning and sanitising throughout the rooms and common areas.
