We booked this one night stay over 6 mths ago . Our room was very unusual as it was a split level room. We had to be very careful walking up and down them to use the amenities. I also asked when the room was booked that family members who also booked their rooms have thier room next door . This did not happen we were same floor but at each end . We arrived from a cruise at 10.00am and waited until 3pm to have our rooms . The lifts were not explained to us as to which one we were to use to get to our floor ,to be told use the one face to face ? Had no idea what that ment . I was very disappointed with the layout of our room we are 70 years of age thankfully we r off good health otherwise we would have had to change rooms due to the stairs . Would we stay there again probably not .

Reasonable sized clean room, good sized bathroom. Could have been some more cutlery and crockery in the kitchen area. Room was not ready at 3pm as we were told it would be when we arrived early at 1pm. Had to wait until 4pm. Breakfast had good variety and tasted good.

Overall 4 stars for the Furama Sydney but Street noise and lack of on site parking dropped my score. The staff were very professional and helpful and the rooms large and comfortable, so very good.

The location is fantastic. Short walk to darling Harbour, the light rail, metro and trains. Chinatown is right around the corner, so the food selection is fantastic. The hotel itself is fairly dated, we booked the premium family room. It was clean enough, however the bathroom is in fire need of a renovation or a thorough clean. i.e. the grount was black/grey when it was originally white. Mould around the shower edges, I felt I needed to wear thongs (flip-flops) when showering. There was a stain on the carpet upon arrival which was wet.and the shower head was mostly blocked. Thankfully they replaced the showerhead for us. The USB wall chargers did not work, so ensure to you bring your own USB chargers. We also found it confusing that the hotel offers a kitchenette but no plates, cutlery, microwave. Literally just a bench top and sink. If a renovation is on the cards this would be a wonderful hotel to stay at.

Bargain price for awesome little Hotel

Older Hotel but fabulously appointed very close to all the local landmarks five minute walk to convention centre in Darling Harbour. Dead centre in the middle of Chinatown massively busy outside but inside quiet as a mouse you could not hear anything rooms very comfortable. All the amenities you could ask for. Breakfast buffet downstairs included with room was just fine.

The rooms were large and modern. The hotel was very quiet and the beds comfortable. Check in was delayed as the room was not ready at 3 and we had to wait along with quite a few others. Maybe it was just a staffing issue for that one day. Great area for eating and wandering. Would stay again.

For me the location is the selling point for this property. It is very convenient for transport, shops, food outlets and everything is walkable,e except when it is raining. The only thing I didn’t like is there is nowhere to park especially for drop in and drop off of visitors for the hotel.
