The room was horrible and the smell was even worse. It looked like it hadn’t been refurbished since the 1970’s. Wouldn’t recommend.

My 1st & only stay at Madison Tower Mill Hotel has been plagued with issues after issues that make it my worst ever hotel stay in my long history of hotel stays. Not only was the staff abusive, but also lied outright to cover themselves when they did not do what they are supposed to do. When I booked to stay at Madison Tower Mill Hotel on 18th Feb to 21 Feb, I asked for high floor unit & late checkout around 10pm to 11pm since I will arrive late on 18th around 9pm to 10pm When I arrived, the receptionist Courtney asked if I still wanted the late checkout and I said I do. So she said she will going to allow me to do that. Nothing was mentioned about any payment needed nor what are the rates or rules involved. I found out later that she had keyed into the computer system, claiming that she have told me about payment when she did not even mentioned a single thing about payment and just told me she is going to allow that!! In addition my request for high floor room was overlooked and I was given a low floor room. When I insisted in getting a high floor room, for better security, I was given a room that looks more like an after-thought, and not a proper hotel room as the air con is tucked behind a TV, thereby blocking its air flow and the benchtop with sink area is bigger than the bed area, making one feel like I am sleeping in a kitchen area. As discussed via email, unfortunately, we do not allow guests to stay at the hotel for an additional 12 hours without charging a fee. Room requests are subject to availability only on the day of arrival. As we were at high occupancy throughout your stay, you were originally placed in a lower floor room as no high floor rooms were available. We always try our best to accommodate our guests and as you insisted that you would like to be placed on a higher floor, our reception staff placed you in one of our Tower rooms on the highest floor – these rooms only slightly differ from our standard Queen rooms. The price was right and the location was ok. Walkable to the things we wanted to see or at least a short Uber ride. The room was old and musty smelling and the air conditioner didn’t work. We had someone from the front desk come check on it and she couldn’t make it work either. The best she could do was bring us a rickety fan that would hardly stand up. We definitely would have left or asked for a refund or another room had we been staying for more than one night. It was clean but that’s about it.
