Very good stay! Cheap prices for a good experience. Although finding out via a letter under our door that the hallway carpet was being replaced at 8am the next morning was a little cheeky, some warning would have been effective! Otherwise a great stay

Stay at the Travelodge Hotel this time was very disappointing as it started right from check in. On arrival I stood at reception while six staff carried on talking & looking busy ignoring me until a manager spoke up & told someone to serve. On checking in they didnt welcome me back to the hotel & gave me my room key & charged the $1.00 which no-one has explained what it is for. On entering room, it looked tidy etc, but floor near fridge/wardrobe was covered in dust which remained for my entire stay. One day they took dirty towels etc & handed me a new set & lleft doing nothing else (which included not emptying the garbage/recycle bin). The following day (last day of stay) had no housekeeping whatsoever, so no clean towels & now garbage etc had not been emptied for two days. Tried to ring reception approximately 6 times to make a complaint but no answer. So I personally went down to reception to complain which was at 4.30pm & receptionist went to manager who I assumed called housekeeping but the matter was not done straight away as advised but was completed at 6.15pm. Only attend Sydney irregularly, so after 2 stays art Travelodge & 2nd time worse than first I will not be staying there again & will not recommend them to friends.

Following discussions with staff the day before regarding parking (we were told it would cost $25 and that we would have to have the ticket validated by staff at check-in) we parked our car in the Secure Parking in the afternoon. We then took the ticket to Reception where we asked for it to be validated. We explained that due to a very early appointment at the hospital the next day, we would be collecting the car before 6am. The male staff member told us emphatically that "Travelodge has an arrangement with Secure Parking and there was no need to have the ticket validated." We asked again and were told the same thing. He also told us that Secure Parking was open 24 hours, implying that there would be staff present. At 5.50am my husband collected the car..........NO staff and a bill for $49.00!! Ticket machines can't be argued with!! Later, when I checked out, the female staff member at Reception asked if the parking ticket had been validated (So I explained the conversation with the male staff member the day before) and she said she'd look in to the matter with her Manager and call me. We've heard nothing from them. EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND DISAPPOINTING!!

This was our third visit to this hotel as the location and price suited our needs, but the previous two visits were more enjoyable, and cleaning staff and other guests less noisy! So much door slamming this time! Having said that, it was still a convenient and comfortable stay and within our budget.
