My room was comfy with a lovely balcony. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. It was a bit noisy but that is expected really when you are located in the middle of a busy area. Great value for money

I hadn’t been there before and in the pouring rain it was difficult to find, however I rang the guys and was directed there straight away, turns out I was only a few minutes from the hotel

Dear Emily,thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.We are very sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and we don't understand why we would be an hostel with misleading photos.All our photos have been taken at the property, our rooms have just been repainted, brand new bedside tables and desks have just arrived, your deluxe family room was 23sqm, had a private bathroom, aircon, tv and unlimited internet.Our bathrooms feature L'Occitane amenities, our rooms are spotless clean, beds are brand sealy and they all have duck feather mattress toppers, if that's the level of an hostel then YES, WE ARE ONE!As per pricing we go with the market.Kind RegardsThe SBH Team

We would have not being able to charge anything afterwards as we didn't have your card details2nd you booked 2 nights in a deluxe DOUBLE ROOM and stayed in 3 instead of 2, when questioned about it you said that one of the 2 girls with you was just visiting but in fact, she stayed for 2 nights and left early on check out day ( before you and your friend checked out later in the morning ).To avoid any argument we didn't confront you anymore about this but since you had a "poor experience" let us say we are not blind..Kind Regards

The location was handy for me, I did like the graffiti decorations of the hallways. It was also pretty quiet considering the location. But.. there was no spare blanket (and I don't like sleeping with the air con on) and there was so much dust on the kettle, fridge, spoons, cups shelves and between the doors. Mades me wonder how well they clean! The grout in the shower had a fair bit of mould!

The room: dusty and highly dirty! 2 small cockroaches in the bathroom during our stay. No window view as it was blocked by a very dirty brown drip stained blurry vent. Bathroom tiles corner had black mould. No light in shower so when you shower with the black curtain you’re actually showering in the pitch black darkness! Heater broken, complaint and owner stated to fix it however it wasnt. not to mention the vents that kept the heater in was highly covered in thick dust! Bed sheet had brown stain drops on it. There was a massive hole in the wall which was covered up in a tacky and cheap poorly laminate poster with 1 nail holding it in place. The skirting board in the room were dirty and some areas had black mould. The staff service: Poor! When raised concerns regarding the room they would smile and nothing would get done. Refused to check heater again when we complained. Put a sign for house keeping to clean our room and change our towels at 9.20am, came back at 9pm that same day with nil room service or clean towels! Called after hours number provided on the door. After the 4th call he was annoyed we told him, stated will call house guest to bring us towels. Waited until 11.45pm with no service and calls ignored! Verbally promised to refund us on the phone, then denied when we tried to get it in a written email. Ignored our calls for days. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone to book here due to poor customer service and lack of hygiene in rooms. They also don’t have lifts!
