If I was ever to stay there again, I’d be more particular on what standard of room I chose. The first time I stayed, I was in a beach front room and it was amazing. The 2nd time I got some random room that appeared to be above the live band that was playing. I laid there for 2 1/2 hours waiting for them to finish before I could sleep!!! I won’t be staying there again. On the upside a midday check out is pretty good.

Firstly it took a long time to get checked in (over an hour) because the staff couldn't find the manager. Also there was no hot water which made it very uncomfortable having a shower at 6am on a cold morning. No one was there when I checked out but when I called later on to share the unsatisfactory experience the most they could do is say sorry. Not what I would call a pleasant stay.

The actual stay was fabulous, the room was very small, but nicely renovated with a fabulous ensuite. The facilities were excellent. The parking is a significant issue. We were told it would be $45 to stay overnight, but in fact cost $84 for less than 24 hours of parking - very disappointing after such an excellent stay at the hotel.

We booked two night but left after one. We were kept awake until 3am with music and noise. There was no mention in the booking information that the hotel has a 3am venue license. When we complained the next morning about the noise and said we wanted to cancel the second night, the hotel apologised, but said we would have to contact Wotif to organise the refund(for the 2nd night), which we did. A week later after hearing nothing, I contacted Wotif who said the hotel refused to give a refund for the second night. The hotel said they had a no-refund policy, but would offer a night's credit which was no use to us as we live in Queensland nor would we want to be kept awake another night until 3am. Although the hotel has recently been nicely refurbished, there is nothing else that can be positively said about the venue or the Manager.
