Great customer service, friendly staff in all area's of the hotel, great location, but sadly the rooms are old and need updating, leaking toliet, cracked tiles, worn carpet, holes in curtains, mold on the oustide walls of the room,

After parking the car it took 20 mins for the lift to come. I understand the restrictions for COVID but this was a problem every time we needed to get into a lift. Once in the room there was dirty tissues on the balcony and dead flies on window sill above the bath. Was very disappointed

I paid for the king suite, walk into the room first thing my girlfriend see when walking is a giant dead cockroach in the bathroom, had no menu in room, took over an hour for staff to finally bring, cleaner didn’t clean our room, went to reception asked to get the room cleaned, I was assured it would happen, went out for an hour came back wasn’t done, ordered uber eats didn’t get utensils. I asked the bar they said ask reception, go to reception and they said we will send someone up to bring me my spoon and fork, 27mins later (with 3 calls to reception) and a finally receive my fork... and knife? Was not made that amenities I probably paid for were closed such as the indoor pool and sauna, spa outside was lacking water so much so that the bubbles wouldn’t even turn on Overall extremely poor service, not what I expected considering what I paid

The staff were amazing at this hotel, however this is the only positive comment. The hotel was far to packed, especially during covid conditions, even though the staff had covid precautions in place, it still didn't feel safe at the lifts. The lifts were extremely slow, taking 30mins regularly to get a lift. People were fighting at the lifts (swearing in front of our young children) and because of the wait time people were pushing in and not practising social distancing (there is a limit of two people per lift), however people just jumped in). The hotel was very run down and not reflective of the photos, our room was filthy, with large sticky spots on the floor, rooms didn't get made up and room service trays were in the halls all day. Lots of people were also smoking in their rooms. We also didn't want to complain to the poor staff who seemed under pressure on the busy Australia Day weekend, however, we would never go back to this hotel (and we have never said this before)
