"Affordable luxury close to the CBD"
My boyfriend and I travelled from Newcastle to see a concert in Newtown. We caught the train to Sydney so we were wearing casual attire and had backpacks on when we arrived. Upon checking into the hotel we were a little disappointed with how the hotel staff received us at the reception desk, we guessed it was because of how we were dressed. The receptionist also didn't direct us to the elevators after checking in, so we had to walk around to find them. Besides that, we were very happy with our room and the facilities provided. We had a City Side Room which had a huge king bed and the bathroom had both a shower and bathtub. The bathrobes could have been a bit softer. The 11:00am check out was definitely a plus, more time to sleep in. Overall a pleasant and comfortable hotel experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel & the staff service. However, the cost of parking at $70 a night is ludicrous. Other than that, a very nice hotel

The heart of Sydney is also home to some of Australia’s most famous attractions, such as the Sydney Opera House. With its distinctive design and reputation as a world-class performing arts venue, it’s no wonder the Opera House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby is the Sydney Sea Life Aquarium (with exhibits that will make you feel like you’re at the Great Barrier Reef!), and the Powerhouse Museum, a great place to visit for science geeks. Check out our Darling Harbour accommodation to be nice and close to these hot tourist spots.

Fans of natural history and creatures great and small should visit the Australian Museum. An internationally-renowned institution, the museum has millions of items on display, including dinosaur fossils, insects and various cultural artefacts. Located on the shores of Sydney Harbour, the view from the zoo is incredible too!

Upmarket shoppers will love the luxury stores along King and Castlereagh Street as well as the many boutiques which have set up shop within Westfield Sydney. The Queen Victoria Building, a shopping arcade featuring late nineteenth-century architecture and a ten metre clock, is popular with both shoppers and tourists alike. If you’re on a budget, visit Paddy’s Markets.. Here you can find everything from souvenirs to fresh produce. If you’re in the Chinatown area on Friday night, take the time to wander through the Chinatown Nightmarket, which is open from 4PM to 11PM.
