Swissotel Sydney - Sydney Hotels

Swissotel Sydney

68 Market Street, Sydney - Map
"Amazing experience."
From the moment we arrived with the happiest and most friendly doorman we have ever seen to the moment we left with that same wonderful doorman and everything in between, it was sensational. They treated us like royalty. Each time we left and came back we were recognised and greeted with such a lovely manner. Our room was spotless and beautiful. Very well up kept rooms and corridors. Our cleaning ladies were brilliant. So thorough and even placed all my makup neatly on a facewasher to protect from any water spills. We will not stay anywhere else when we go to Sydney. Well done Swissotel, you deliver and hire outstanding team members.

The heart of Sydney is also home to some of Australia’s most famous attractions, such as the Sydney Opera House. With its distinctive design and reputation as a world-class performing arts venue, it’s no wonder the Opera House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby is the Sydney Sea Life Aquarium (with exhibits that will make you feel like you’re at the Great Barrier Reef!), and the Powerhouse Museum, a great place to visit for science geeks. Check out our Darling Harbour accommodation to be nice and close to these hot tourist spots.

Fans of natural history and creatures great and small should visit the Australian Museum. An internationally-renowned institution, the museum has millions of items on display, including dinosaur fossils, insects and various cultural artefacts. Or if you’d rather see live animals, why not visit Taronga Zoo? This beloved Sydney venue houses lions, elephants and iconic Aussie animals like koalas and the Tasmanian Devil. Located on the shores of Sydney Harbour, the view from the zoo is incredible too!

Shopaholics will find plenty to keep them occupied in the Sydney CBD too. Upmarket shoppers will love the luxury stores along King and Castlereagh Street as well as the many boutiques which have set up shop within Westfield Sydney. The Queen Victoria Building, a shopping arcade featuring late nineteenth-century architecture and a ten metre clock, is popular with both shoppers and tourists alike. If you’re on a budget, visit Paddy’s Markets.. Here you can find everything from souvenirs to fresh produce. If you’re in the Chinatown area on Friday night, take the time to wander through the Chinatown Nightmarket, which is open from 4PM to 11PM.

Once you’ve shopped ‘til you’ve dropped, head back to your Sydney City hotel to drop off your bags before going to explore Sydney’s nightlife. Watch as fireworks burst over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, illuminating the water and the night sky as thousands ring in the new year.
