The hotel is set in an old pub/hotel building with lots of beautiful character and charm. The room was a decent size and lovely and cozy. Even with a lot of noise from crowds and the pub downstairs, the addition of noise cancelling Perspex on the windows, you could barely hear it. The shared bathrooms were always clean and maintained. Breakfast downstairs at the Fortune of War was amazing. All staff at the hotel and pub/restaurant were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again

We greatly appreciated our stay. Staff was wonderful. Location was wonderful. The ladies and the gentleman that worked at the front desk were all extremely helpful. The room we had was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. Also the included breakfast was very good and the staff working there were also very nice. The employees of this hotel are stellar examples of what we expect the behavior to be from top rate hotels. They were accomodating, friendly and knowledgable! We booked this hotel for our pre and post cruise travel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and attractions.
