Hello Nick, We're very sad to hear you did not enjoy your stay. We have improved our food but the menu remains the same with burgers, fish and chips, thai curry, thai soup, chili con carne, etc so theres a wide variety of traditional Australian eats with a couple Thai and TexMex options. Our food is extraordinary as we're so lucky to have 3 amazing chefs from Europe with previous experience in two hat fine-dining restaurants.Because of our location in the Daintree rainforest, we must supply our own energy so it is very costly but we are lucky to have wifi to supply to guests for a very small fee. Sadly we do not have the ability to have routers for wifi all over the premises but the wifi reaches the bistro, reception, and cabins around that area. We do have adjustable air-con as well as sturdy walls and storage room. We hope you can give us another try as we'd love to have you see how much we've improved our whole hotel from our service to our comfort. Kindly, Management

Hello there, We are so sad to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I hope you give us another try as we have improved our beds to very comfortable soft beds with lovely soft sheets. We do our best to spread booked rooms away for less noise complaints, and while we do not have rats..we do have birds that sometimes land on the roof or tree branches that make loud noises depending on the wind and rain. There are hangers to hang items in our rooms and we have amazing food thats expanded to include some lovely Thai dishes cooked by highly qualified chefs from Europe with past experience in fine-dining and two hat restaurants. Hi Stuart, We are shocked to read you review. We would love to have you come back during our peak season (May to October) and see how lively and fun this place is. We must be honest and explain if you have a budget room there is not guarantee of who will be rooming with you but we have plenty of private rooms where you can enjoy your music at a reasonable level. We also pride ourselves in our food with our amazing chefs from Europe with previous fine-dining and two hat experience. There's a coffee shop/cafe on site, as well as a snack bar/deli. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. An outdoor pool, a library, and a terrace are also featured at PKs Jungle Village - Hostel. Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this Cape Tribulation hostel.
PKs Jungle Village - Hostel offers 44 air-conditioned accommodations with safes and ceiling fans. Cribs/infant beds (complimentary) are also available. Housekeeping is provided on request.
