"Good Food , Bad Beds"
Handy location, Quality club style food, It's a shame the king size bed is so hard & the pillows old & hard as well. The pull out sofa bed looks very old & is only single size & not enough room to pull it out as it hit the TV cabinet. after re-arranging to a position where it could be opened, it looked like the sheets on it had already been used.. & the teeny- tiny fridge not big enough to keep anything cold.

"Nice hotel close to everything "
I was at Wollongong for work and i saw it on line so i decide to book it on the last minute and i move down there the next day, i call them up on the phone for some questions and the girl on the phone was really nice and helpful. When I got down there on Sunday to check in the girl at the desk was very helpful and nice and not forget stunningly beautiful, the room was very clean got a lot of space. Through out the week all the staff was very helpful and really nice and that's make a big difference to me especially when i do long hours night shift and they always smile to you and have a small chat when you go passed. Even their house keeping the way they clean your room, it's always spotless and very clean. Maybe some people got a different opinion but i had a really excellent and beautiful stay at Wollongong Downtown Motel, for me it's not the size of the hotel or how old it is, it's the nicest staff members and how clean it is that always make my stay easy especially when I'm long way away from home. There no doubt in my mind if someone asks me to rate them I'll say from the scale of 1-10 I'll give them a 10 snd every time my work needs me to go down to Wollongong yes I'll stay there again.

Normandie Motel and Function Centre

30 Bourke Street, Wollongong - Map
I was getting some car work done so needed a room for the night. I was in room 7. It is classed as a small double. Well it had three areas. The fridge and changing area with a good desk and lamp to work with , the bedroom which was small and the bathroom which was a reasonable size. I had an excellent steak after the soup of the day. It was not expensive as they have a special list of items before 7.00pm. I would stay there again.

Wollongong is also home to the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern hemisphere, the Nan Tien Temple. Nan Tien is Chinese for Southern Paradise, which you will find is quite fitting after a stay in our Wollongong accommodation. The temple is open to visitors and combines many styles of Buddhist architecture, from the angular and distinctly Chinese seven storey Pagoda, to the brightly coloured South-East Asian sculptures in the surrounding grounds and the Japanese style gardens of the courtyards.
