We had a very disappointing experience at Lakeside Illawarra. The room was visibly dirty and contained multiple cockroaches, which made us extremely uncomfortable and concerned about hygiene. Due to this, we did not feel safe bringing our clothes or belongings fully into the room for fear of contamination. I contacted staff immediately to report the issue but did not receive any response or follow-up, which added to the frustration. Basic cleanliness and pest control are expected standards for accommodation, and unfortunately this stay did not meet those expectations. I hope management addresses these issues urgently to improve guest safety and comfort.

The room was disgusting and run down. Walls had marks all over them from not being cleaned, mould in the bathroom, dust overflowing out of the fan, toaster had no tab to out on, electricity point coming out of the wall. Unsafe for little children
