Check-in was fine. I would suggest as parking is crazy in the Gong. Incorporate parking in the price of your stay. I think $287 a night fair with parking, when mentioned x-tra for secure parking, that’s strange. All should be in the room stay.

A mix up with my booking meant I asked for a high floor but put on the ground floor, then the staff had no record that I’d checked in at all. My dog was concerned because other dogs had marked the hotel room. Furniture and carpet bore clear signs . A bit of disrepair
Mantra Wollongong is definitely showing its age now, and post-Covid is definitely lacking in fit and finish. Very run down, rooms with lots of maintenance issues, poor lighting, broken door handles, and a small cockroach problem around the kitchen area. Carpet is piling and worn, rooms are falling apart, and this single-lift building is very worn. Needs a lot of work to bring it back to feeling like an actual 4 star hotel, which it isn't right now. Staff were lovely though, and parking was super easy.

The customer service was amazing, the apartment we had was very tired and needs some TLC the rooms are quite hot and you will need to sleep with balcony doors open to keep cool. Some of the cups and cutlery were still dirty but nothing a quick wash would fix. It was a quick short break for my family and overall I prob would not stay again.

Apart from a good sized apartment, this property is a detriment to Accor hotels: a brand and loyalty killer. Cleanliness is awful and you get the dirty feel from the moment you arrive, park your car & walk the hallway. The expectation is already set and upon entering the room, that expectation becomes reality - paint peeling on window ledges, mould on window ledges, mouldy shower tiles, soap scum on shower tiles, cobwebs galore, heavily stained furniture, moisture damaged vanity laminate, stained carpets, stained walls. Hold every glass up to the light and you’ll see nothing clean and possibly the previous guests lipstick stains (like we did). I’d be embarrassed if I were the Hotel Manager and this was the product I was selling. Stay elsewhere in Wollongong, won’t be hard to find better.
