Staff are great, room is small but clean and comfortable. However, the so-called "high speed WiFi" is just not up to spec. This is my second stay at this hotel, but I'm inclined to pay just a little extra to stay elsewhere - where the WiFi works properly, so I don't need to hotspot from my phone.

The room was good - clean, well presented but quite modest in size. Suitable for our overnight stay, but lacked any wardrobe or cupboard space that you would want for a longer stay. We had to evacuate at 11:00pm due to a fire alarm, something that would not have concerned us except that we we told by other guests that there had been an evacuation two nights earlier - at 2:30 am. However, I would still recommend Hotel Totto because the positives thoroughly outweighed the minor negatives and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Air conditioners in the rooms are EXTREMELY noisy. You need them on (we stayed in December in mid 30s temps) otherwise the room quickly becomes unbearable. Staff are lovely, restaurant is fine, but the rooms are very basic. Rooms also not very sound proof, so expect to hear quite a bit of street noise.

We stayed on Saturday night hoping for a quiet, relaxing getaway after the roughest year of our lives, but it was far from restful. The biggest issue was noise. Fatboy Pride & Grill is open until 3:30 am, and the noise from people leaving after drinking was extremely loud. It bounced off the buildings straight into our room. The window didn’t seem to be acoustic glass, and even with it closed you could feel a breeze through the seals, so the soundproofing was very poor. Inside the accommodation it wasn’t much better. The room doors don’t have a soft-close mechanism, so every time someone left their room it sounded like a door slamming shut, which made us jump and made resting impossible. The aircon was another problem. It cooled the room loudly and every time it switched back on it made a louder rumbling noise like a car starting beside the bed. My partner is a deep sleeper and even he couldn’t sleep. We ended up getting up around 2 am and decided to just do a lap around the street because it was impossible to relax in the room. After that, we were basically waiting until around 3:30 am when Fatboy Pride & Grill finally closed so it would quieten down. The room design was nice, but cleanliness wasn’t great (shower and sink drain mouldy) The window doesn’t open fully and there’s no fly screen, so the room heats up quickly and becomes uncomfortable. If you’re looking for rest, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We left more exhausted than when we arrived.

May wife and I stayed last night at this Totto Hotel. I booked via my Expedia Account. The hotel is classified 4 star, in my humble opinion it doesn't deserve even 2, I know because I stayed in hundreds of hotel globally while managing conferences and exhibition Group. Here are a short list of discomforts: 1. There no phone in the rooms! Yes no freaking phones! 2. We had to call via reception to ask a missing air conditioning remote control! 3. No pens, pencils or papers. 4. Nothing provided in the bathroom but body soap and shampoo in bulk dispensers. 5. As there are no chairs to watch the TV we had to sit on bed, and funny enough the bed did not stay still. I had to rest the bed's wheels in my SHOES to keep still! 6. Breakfast was about $35 per head and you most definitely get better value at a motel or Macca. 7. The quality of the bed and pillows provided is quite below such rating. 8. I was charged $25 for overnight parking, I couldn't recall seeing this charge on Expedia. 8. There are more things to list... We will never stay here ever again.
