For more options, try out the Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Island and the Peppers Blue on Blue. They are 12 kilometres and 12 kilometres respectively from the center. If those two aren't the best fit, you can try the Itara Apartments or the Arcadia Beach Guest House.

Check out the art galleries in Tropical North Queensland, and admire the region's lovely beaches, rainforest, streams and tablelands. Or spend some time rock climbing, mountain climbing and hiking.
If you want to explore some nearby cities, consider Nelly Bay and Arcadia. Head 11 kilometres to the north of Townsville and you'll discover Nelly Bay. That said, Arcadia is 13 kilometres to the north. Hotels in Nelly Bay include the Island Leisure Resort and Beachside Magnetic Harbour. The Bungalow Bay Koala Village - Hostel and Sails On Horseshoe are some of the better ones in Arcadia.
