Great location. Rooms are quite dated and aircon was poor and stuffy. Staff were nice and house keeping was good. Was advertised as having a balcony, the balcany was so narrow there was bearly standing room.Overall ok we found it pretty expensive for the quality of the room.

"Good location "
The Pacific Hotel is a good choice for a short stay in Cairns. Good location: few minutes from the Marina and about 10 minutes from the City Commercial Centre. Has spacious modern rooms very confortable and with facility. WI FI in room are quite quick! The hall is simple with the reception one one side and the restaurant to the other. The breakfast not included (they offer a discount ticket at your arrival). The staff is professional and friendly. The price fair. It was a good stay.

Whether you want to bushwalk or ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway above the canopy, our Cairns hotels are the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking natural beauty of the area. One of Cairns' major attractions as a tourist destination is its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef. Made up of 2900 individual reefs and covering an area of 345,000 square km, with spectacularly colourful coral and amazing sea life, the Great Barrier Reef is over two million years old. Getting to the reef is as easy as catching a boat at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and there are many tour companies that run snorkelling, scuba diving, sightseeing or fishing tours. Or stay in one of our hotels on Cairns' beaches to enjoy the area's beautiful beaches.

Although our Cairns accommodation is a great base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest, Tropical North Queensland, Port Douglas and the outback, there is also much to see and do in the city of Cairns. Watch the big game at Cazalys Stadium, stroll down The Esplanade and enjoy the ocean views or stop at one of the many al fresco cafes after checking out the local artworks at the Cairns Regional Gallery. View interesting tropical plants at the Flecker Botanic Gardens, shop at funky stalls at the Cairns Night Markets or at Cairns Central, have a barbecue at the Cairns Night Zoo or be amazed by native and tropical animals at the Cairns Tropical Zoo. If you’re in town on business, Cairns is also the perfect place to hold a conference, with many world-class event facilities.
